A Note About
High-Altitude Cooking
If your boondocking over 3,000 ft. in elevation, some recipes may have to be adjusted. Liquids will boil at lower temperatures (things take longer to cook) and cakes and breads will rise higher and faster.
FOR BAKING:
--- Reduce baking powder and soda by 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon per teaspoon. ---
--- Decrease sugar 1/8 to 1 Tablespoon per cup. ---
--- Add 1 to 2 Tablespoons more liquid per cup. ---
--- Increase baking temperature by 15 to 25 degrees (F). ---

Remember...
Everyone gets hungrier when out Boondockin'. Make sure to have enough grub on hand for "camper-sized-meals".
